Connect, Prepare, & Feel the Magic

 

For millenia, winter was a time of sacred introspection, reflection, and preparation. In modern times, however, Winter and its celebrations can often seem more consumeristic and stressful than peaceful and spiritual. But if we can realize that the true magic of the season lives within each of us, we can transform our cold-weather experience from one of outer darkness to one of inner light. Through mindfulness and conscious living we can reconnect to the unique peace and childlike wonder available in the winter months. By practicing self-care and energetic boundaries, we can boost our immune system and ward off symptoms of burnout, Seasonal Affective Disorder, and other wintertime ailments.

 

Join Lauren G. Koch of Keeper of the Ways: Folk Medicinals & Healing Arts for this mindfulness and manifestation workshop to reconnect to the natural rhythms and traditions of the seasons. Through reflection, teaching, and participatory rituals, expect this experience to shift your relationship to Winter from consumeristic to connected—connected to yourself, to the magic of winter, and to the universal energies of the Wheel of the Year.

Art & Ancestors

@ Hallowed Homecoming

the weekend of Halloween 2022

A guided journey to connect with ancestors followed by an opportunity for creative self-expression through art therapy techniques. 

This session will facilitate engagement with the ancestors and provide space to process through creative self-expression and art therapy techniques. Attendees will engage in a guided journey to connect with the ancestors. Given the length of the journey we recommend bringing an eye pillow, pillow, yoga mat, etc. to ensure your personal comfort. Following the journey attendees will provide form to their experience through textures, colors, words, and images. 

 

No creative experience is required. Some art materials will be provided but it is highly recommended to bring a sketchbook and some of your favorite writing/drawing/coloring implements.

Join Lauren G. Koch of Keeper of the Ways: Folk Medicinals & Healing Arts for this special workshop aimed at reconnecting with the natural rhythms and traditions of the season!

 

Our modern view of autumn celebrations is a consumeristic one. We often participate in seasonal festivities by decorating with objects whose symbolism has long been forgotten and feasting on seasonal flavors with reckless abandon... without knowing why these rituals trigger our senses and evoke profound memories. Connection to the land and celestial bodies has been replaced by easily discarded alternatives.

 

Through reflection and observation, together we will shift our relationship with autumn from a consumeristic to a connected one. Some might say "unplug" but I like to say plug IN by connecting to the universal energies. This will prepare us to lay the foundation to live a life full of fulfillment and abundance.

Harness the New Moon energy with this unique creative mindfulness experience to manifest & create a plan of illuminated action for the lunar cycle ahead. Through a blend of art therapy, music, journaling, gentle movement, and breathing exercises, we will raise our vibrations and get pumped for the lunar cycle ahead. Meditation & Mindfulness on the funky side, perfect for those of us that find it hard to sit still and quiet our mind. 

 

Shared supplies are limited so please come prepared if possible by bringing a mixed media sketchbook and your favorite mark making supplies (ex. Color pencils, pens, crayons, markers, watercolors, etc) and anything else meditation & yoga related that will make you comfy & relaxed (ex. Eye pillow, bolster, pillow, blanket, yoga mat, etc.). If you have a favorite tarot or oracle deck feel free to bring it along.

Join us for this creative mindfulness experience to harness the Full Moon energy to reflect on the previous lunar cycle, release tension & blockages, and recharge. We will release the things no longer serving us and downshift our nervous system through a blend of art therapy, music, journaling, gentle movement, and breathing exercises.

 

Shared supplies are limited so please come prepared if possible by bringing a mixed media sketchbook and your favorite mark making supplies (ex. Color pencils, pens, crayons, markers, watercolors, etc) and anything else meditation & yoga related that will make you comfy & relaxed (ex. Eye pillow, bolster, pillow, blanket, yoga mat, etc.).
