Watercolor is one of my favorite mediums and July just happens to be National Watercolor Month - so I just had plan an accompanying class to follow up both the May's Ink Explorations Lab and July's Watercolor Explorations Lab - in this Lab we will be using decorative paper to explore the mixed media collage technique of paper weaving. Paper can be woven just like yarn or basketry materials - during this class we will explore weaving techniques to create abstract compositions plus a little form & funciton as we discuss possibilities for weaving baskets or even sculptural forms with our paper strips. Whether you’re brand new to weaving techniques or wanting to brush up on the basics this is the right place to explore, express, expand. All materials are provided just bring an open heart ready to explore creativity. Select Tuesday evening or Friday midday. Pre-registration is requested due to the nature of sourcing materials for the class - these are currently IN PERSON only offerings hosted at Give Rise Studio in Frederick, MD - virtual options are being explored but not currently available.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: Private 1on1 sessions - contact Lauren (770-6530308) at least 24 hrs prior - Clients who fail to show for appointments repeatedly may be asked to pre-pay for future services, if not pre-billed online - consult policies if you have questions about cancellations or rescheduling. Workshops & Events If you have already registered for a workshop, and you are no longer able to attend the training, our cancellation policy is as follows for Lauren G. Koch: Keeper of the Old Ways events only - other host locations may vary. Roll over class or Full refund - minus admin fee up to 3 days out of your scheduled workshop. Roll over class or 50% refund if notified within 6 hrs of workshop. No refund if no show (except your first time - I'll email you with an option to roll into another future workshop) An exception will be made for an unexpected illness, i.e. COVID-19 related issues, and a refund of 50% or a credit to attend an up-coming workshop can be issued. If you would like to cancel your ticket, please email keeperoftheoldways@gmail.com with the subject line “Cancellation.” Transferring Your Ticket In lieu of a refund, you can also transfer your spot to someone else. To do this, please email keeperoftheoldways@gmail.com with the subject line “Ticket Transfer: [Name of Workshop].” Please write to us using the same email address that was provided at registration, and include the full name & email address of the person who you would like to transfer your ticket to. We’ll take it from there!
