Prompts designed to activate and deepen self-awareness, enhance intuitive abilities, and strengthen connection to your inner knowing.

Modern wellness and spirituality culture has romanticized kundalini awakenings, astral projection, and pineal gland activation. This makes people want to jump immediately into 3rd Eye work as they begin to awaken to spirit and chakra work. It’s completely understandable and I totally get it - we all want an esoteric out of body, life changing experience. But guess what - most of the people reading this blog are far from monks sitting on the mountain top - that is not our role. So we have to seek the magic in the mundane but if you get a chance I highly recommend going on a mindfulness or spiritual retreat, though - it really helps you rest and find reprieve from the endless hustle and bustle of capitalist culture, allowing you to dig deep and find alignment.
From personal experience and working with others - I encourage you to begin with unblocking and stabilizing your Root Chakra while nurturing your Inner Child. One requirement on this journey is that you make space in your life for stillness. Yes, even boredom (gasp!). Boredom is one of the best ways to activate and engage your imagination, which is directly linked to the vitality of your pineal gland. If you’re looking to deepen your spiritual, self-care, or creative practices, carving out time for stillness and observation is a must.
There are countless ways to connect with and activate your 3rd Eye and pineal gland.
Here are five ways to get started:
1. Add Mindfulness & Meditation Practices to Your Life
You don’t need to sit still for hours or focus exclusively on activating your 3rd Eye to benefit from mindfulness. Start simple and build from there:
Try a box breathing technique or short guided meditation.
Explore more active forms of being present, like somatic breathwork, intuitive creation, qigong, or walking meditations.
Work with yantras or other sacred symbols to focus your mind.
Practice Being the Observer simply being present. Activate your senses and note emotions or subtle cues, like cold chills, goosebumps, or other intuitive “pings.”
2. Work with Correspondences to
Amplify Intentions & Raise Your Vibration

Using correspondences—crystals, essential oils, herbs, colors, numbers—Here are some of my favorites to create a sense of calming energy while stimulating intuition - be sure to do some research on your own and find what works for you.
Herbal teas: Mugwort, Tulsi Basil, and Chamomile.
Essential oils: Clary sage, Black pepper, and Blue Tansy.
Crystals: Selenite, Amethyst, Labradorite, and Clear Quartz.
For a simple yet effective practice, incorporate Color Therapy & Nutrition:
Wear specific colors through clothing, jewelry, or makeup (yes, even socks or underwear work!) - you don’t always have to go out and dye your hair like I do.
Add foods and drinks of certain colors into your diet that also support your body.
3. Journaling & Intuitive Creation

Journaling and creative expression help you explore the world of your subconscious and deepen self-awareness.
Some ideas:
Dream Journaling: Record your dreams and reflect on their meanings.
Track Correspondence Work: For instance, keep a food journal to notice which foods enhance your clarity and which dull your intuition.
Stream of Consciousness Writing: Process your thoughts freely without judgment.
Explore Hobbies: Pick up a new creative practice or revisit an old one.
Meditative Art: Try doodling, subconscious drawing, or painting.
Photo Journaling: Capture moments of beauty and inspiration through photography - share on social or keep for personal enjoyment.
4. Connect with Nature and Seasonal Cycles

Aligning your life with the rhythms of nature can regulate your nervous system, creating a strong foundation for 3rd Eye work.
Observe the rhythms of nature, create seasonal altars and self-care rituals that honor this ebb and flow nurturing MIND BODY SPIRIT
Spend time in nature. This could be as simple as sitting in your car near a creek or lake or taking a hike if that’s accessible for you.
Practice grounding: Sit on a park bench, lay in the grass, or even take a long bath to reconnect with the Earth.
5. Find a Like-Minded Community for Support
Healing and growth flourish in the presence of supportive, like-minded individuals. Here’s where to start:

Attend local yoga classes or mindfulness retreats.
Look for creative mindfulness workshops that combine intuitive creation with shadow work.
Connect with Unitarian Universalist congregations, organic health food stores, metaphysical shops, or other spaces that often host workshops and community events.
Explore online communities on Facebook, Discord, YouTube, Patreon, and beyond.
By incorporating these practices into your life, you can begin to awaken and deepen your 3rd Eye connection while fostering a balanced, authentic life led by the inner knowing. Remember, there is magic inside and all around us — so take it slow, stay curious, and allow yourself to heal and shift in your own perfect time.
